1. Yes, you will probably make more power with JWT 550BBs even with stock piping.
2. 2.5" IC piping and planar intake kit on stock turbos will probably net you bigger gains than upgrading to JWT 550BBs and keeping stock piping.
3. 2.5" IC piping, planar intake kit and JWT 550BBs is the biggest win.For reference, on Octane 94 with JWT 530BBs, a 2.5" IC kit and planar intake yielded about 466 hp and 473 lb-ft torque. I don't see how this power would have been possible without the intake kit. On the same car, the previous dyno tuning on Octane 91 without the piping was about 360 hp / 360 lb-ft torque. The net area gained under the curve is huge with the piping. In short, I would upgrade the piping before upgrading turbos.
